The main story of the film follows Vincent Freeman as he tries to become an astronaut despite of his "In-Valid" status. Gattaca explores many ethical issues related to Bio-Engineering, such as the possibility for how the usage of it can lead to discrimination and Social Stratification. It tackles topics like Free Will, Eugenics, and whether Humanity is limited to their genes or if they can truly rise above what was given at birth.
Steven Spielberg's 1993 Classic is a cautionary tale about both the breathtaking possibilities and the grave dangers when it comes to Bio-Engineering. The film focuses on the cloning of dinosaurs from ancient DNA, creating a theme park that descends into chaos.
